Rigid lightweight connectors
A lower leg prosthetic athlete's sports prosthesis consists of a socket, a blade, and a connector that connects them together. The connectors not only connect the parts, but also hold the socket and blade in the proper position and angle (alignment). Rigid lightweight connectors are made by adjusting the alignment in advance to best suit the athlete's running style using a special jig and topology-optimizing the structure.
